Giorgio Minotti

After his MD degree in 1981 and Board Certification in Oncology (1984), both at the Catholic University School of Medicine in Rome, Giorgio was Fellow of the Italian Association for Cancer Research, Fulbright Scholar and Fulbright Visiting Professor at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI (1985-1987), and Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH (1990-1991).

He currently is Professor of Pharmacology at the University and Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, where he also served as Research Coordinator (2014-2016), Dean of the School of Medicine (2016-2020), and Vice Rector for Education (2020-2022). Giorgio authored over 170 papers in Medline-based journals, mostly focusing on oxidative stress and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic correlates of cardiovascular liability of cancer drugs.

He is Editor-in-Chief of Chemotherapy, Co-Founder and European Deputy Editor of Cardio-Oncology, Associate Editor of Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. Giorgio regularly serves as expert pharmacologist for national and international boards of regulatory agencies, academic consortia and drug development companies.
