Paolo Aretini

Bioinformatics and computational biology are indispensable in an environment dedicated to the study of gene and proteins.

Paolo Aretini has a wide experience in the application of his scientific expertise to medical genetics, in particular to the study of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer focusing on BRCA genes and on variants of uncertain significance. In FPS his laboratory plays an important role in the analysis of the big amount of “omics” data produced by the labs of genomics/transcriptomics and of proteomics/metabolomics.

Paolo Aretini received his Master’s degree in Biological Science and his PhD in Experimental and Molecular Oncology at the University of Pisa.
