Call for Scientific Director

Fondazione Pisana per la Scienza (FPS) is a non-profit research institute dedicated to advancing biomedical solutions for the betterment of humanity. With a focus on oncology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular health, FPS strives to be at the forefront of cutting-edge scientific exploration.

We are currently seeking a visionary Scientific Director to join our dynamic team. In this advisory role, you will collaborate closely with the FPS Governing Board and our researchers to drive impactful projects forward. As the Scientific Director, you will provide expert guidance, foster strategic partnerships, and champion innovative initiatives that propel our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:
· Offer scientific, editorial, and strategic counsel to FPS teams and the governing board.
· Lead engaging scientific discussions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to inspire collaboration and innovation.
· Provide clear strategic direction to team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with FPS’s mission and objectives.
· Uphold rigorous editorial standards by reviewing the work of FPS teams and fostering a culture of excellence.

Qualifications:
MD or Ph.D. in Oncology or Neuroscience, with a strong research background in one of these fields.
Proven experience in research management within the biomedical domain, demonstrating leadership and strategic acumen.
